Scholarship

The school offers the following grants:

  • Scholarship for Honor Students

Scholarship grants to honor students is for incoming Grades 7 to 12 students who have been with Davao Christian High School, received a Gold award for academics the previous year, and have attained top three in RANKING in their year or grade level. Furthermore, the recipient must not have been tutored by any hired tutor the previous year. The amount of grant is as follows:

  • Rank 1 – 100% tuition fee scholarship
  • Rank 2 – 50% tuition fee scholarship
  • Rank 3 – 25% tuition fee scholarship
  • Scholarship for Student with Financial Need

Scholarship subsidies for students needing financial assistance are provided to selected elementary and high school students who demonstrate financial need, academic achievement, and good conduct. Recipients must have been enrolled in Davao Christian High School the previous year with no final grade below 80 in any subject. Furthermore, he/she must not have an outstanding account balance with the school. Primary factors taken into consideration for evaluating scholarship requests are financial needs, grades, and number of siblings.

Either grant is good for one year but may be revoked anytime for misconduct and other valid reasons as determined by the school Board of Trustees. Should the student qualify for more than one grant (including that of faculty dependents’ scholarship, honor, financial assistance, foundation grants, etc.), the student will be provided only the grant with the higher amount.

  • COVID-19 Tuition Assistance Fund

For the school year 2020-2021, Davao Christian High School has set up a COVID-19 Tuition Assistance Fund to provide subsidy for students whose families have been affected by COVID-19 due to the reduction of income or unemployment. This is subject to the availability of funds and scholarship committee screening.
This one-time financial assistance of twenty thousand pesos (Php 20,000.00) is open to all current DCHS students at any level, with no minimum grade requirement. Parents who apply for assistance must comply with the following documents:

  • Self-employed – self-declared letter with name, date, and signature stating nature of work, regular income, and how COVID-19 has affected the income; or
  • Employed – certificate of employment from the employer indicating regular salary before the pandemic and reduced salary during the pandemic.
