Junior High School

Secondary education aims to continue the general education started in the elementary level and to provide adequate instructions in preparation for college education or initial employment.

High school develops students to learn independently as well as cooperatively. Instead of listening to a teacher lecture, students are provided handouts with concept notes and learning activities which they study and perform. The role of teachers, thus, shifts from being a sage on the stage to a guide on the side.

The specific objectives of the High School Department are:

  • Develop Christian values, moral rectitude, physical health, and mental alertness;
  • Develop the communication proficiency in English and Filipino through further development in the four communication skills;
  • Strengthen the basic mathematical, scientific and economic knowledge and skills as preparatory to higher education;
  • Develop the talents and skills of students in diverse areas of interest;
  • Encourage critical and creative thinking in problem solving and decision making in facing the challenges of life;
  • Emphasize on independent learning;
  • Gain knowledge and develop skills in information and communication technology; and
  • Foster self-awareness and responsiveness to the needs of others and concern for social development.
